An art pack?!
I was really happy to see the launch of the TTRPG Art Asset Jam, hosted by Penflower Ink and Goblincow. With almost two months left in the jam, there are already 57 entries. It is quickly becoming one of the best art repositories around.
It looked like a great opportunity to share some of the tracing work I’ve been doing!
Woodcuts most wyrd
The Rabbits & Demons art pack consists of hand-drawn tracings of public domain woodcuts from the 16th through 18th centuries.
They were created in Procreate. In most cases they are a single subject taken from a larger work, and enlarged. The canvas size is 8.5x11" at 300 dpi with a drawing in black on a white background. Files are in PNG format. The goal is to make them large enough to use when creating zines in A5 format.
Here’s an example:
The original works were provided by sources such as Rijksmuseum, Public Domain Review, and Old Book Illustrations, They have been altered to varying degrees, such as the devil using a man's mouth as a privy from Taylor’s Physicke Has Purged the Divel (1641). Although I do encourage you to check out the original.
Perhaps you can find a use for the drawings. I personally think they’d look great in a Fallen RPG supplement, or perhaps MÖRK BORG!
They are licensed with CC-BY-4.0, so do what you want with them. While not required, I’d love to hear about how you use them!
Rabbits & Demons is available for free at exeuntpress.itch.io.
Thank you again!
