💀 EP games restocked at FARBO Co
Exeunt Press games have been selling really well at FARBO Co, so I stopped by to deliver a restock.1 They now have everything in the EP Product Catalog in stock, including the new Caveat Emptor and Tollund solo games.
FARBO is one of my favorite FLGS in part because of their huge selection of indie TTRPGs. Just look at these photos:
And that’s just part of them! There are additional shelves of games not shown!
This was taken before the EP games were restocked, but you can still see one little Eleventh Beast peaking out in the top photo. You might also recognize Fetch the Blade (Ethan Yen), Godspark (
), and Home: Mech x Kaiju (Deep Dark Games). If you made one of the games in the photos, please pitch your game below! If you can’t make it to Lancaster, PA to shop in person at FARBO, you can still get the games. Everything is back in stock at shop.exeunt.press.

🤖 MECH WEEK begins November 11
The three-part TSR retro-game series has concluded, and I’m working hard preparing for MECH WEEK at Skeleton Code Machine — mech/mecha related articles, coloring contest, and more.
I’ll also be making a big announcement during MECH WEEK for fans of Skeleton Code Machine. It’s a project that I’ve been working on for a long time, and it is finally ready to launch. Watch for that mid-week during MECH WEEK.
If you haven’t already, subscribe to make sure you don’t miss anything.

Skeleton Code Machine is an ENNIE-nominated weekly publication that explores tabletop game mechanisms. It’s been called a “Seemingly endless source of gaming ponderings” and a “Goldmine.” Check it out at www.skeletoncodemachine.com.
🎃 MÖRKTOBER DOOM QUEST winners
MÖRKTOBER 2024 has come to an end and with it the first DOOM QUEST.
Congrats to everyone who participated this year, and especially to those who made it all the way to the final day on October 31. I hope your MÖRK BORG creations were sufficiently dark and weird. It doesn’t matter how many days you completed, because one day is better than zero! The goal was to get creative and make stuff.
A few end-of-MÖRKTOBER notes:
DOOM QUEST winners: DOOM QUEST winners were notified via email on Tuesday (11/5). They have five (5) days to reply and confirm, otherwise another person will be notified.
DOOM QUEST zine: An Offering of Sweet Honey will be updated with puzzle solutions. The current plan is to put the answers (sufficiently marked as spoilers) in the back of the zine. I’d like to get a few copies printed for shop.exeunt.press.
MÖRKTOBER shirts: Two styles of MÖRKTOBER shirts are available. One with the stylized MÖRKTOBER logo and one with St. Agmunðr of the Pumpkin. Both are Tier 0 armor when worn during MÖRK BORG sessions.
The Omen October Brings: Tania is releasing an art book compilation of her MÖRKTOBER creations. The Omen October Brings is a “collection of 31 misfits, miscreants, mysteries and a myriad of misfortunes.”
SOLO BORG:
created SOLO BORG during MÖRKTOBER. This 46-page stand-alone game is a way to play MÖRK BORG without a GM.Special thank you: I want to sincerely thank everyone in the #MÖRKTOBER channel on the MÖRK BORG Discord server. Everyone did a great job being encouraging and making all participants feel welcome. Really a great group of people, and I had so much fun chatting there again this year!
MÖRKTOBER and DOOM QUEST will be back again next year. Watch for prompts to be posted in September 2025. Thank you again to everyone who made this October so special.
PARTICIPATE: MÖRKTOBER and DOOM QUEST
🎲 Recently played: Black Rose Wars: Rebirth
Played Black Rose Wars: Rebirth (Colletti, Fonseca, et al., 2023) recently and absolutely loved it. It has everything I currently love in board games: deck-building, combos, miniatures, area control, variable player powers, combat. Even with four players we still finished in a reasonable amount of time. There’s a built-in timer mechanism that ensures the game ends in defeat for all players.

Stopping by FARBO Co and the nearby Prince Street Cafe is a good time. Downtown Lancaster really has a lot to offer and is worth a trip.
I’ll be at Save Against Fear starting Thursday night and running through Sunday. Orders will ship next week when I’m back!
FARBO looks amazing! And I see The Librarian's Apprentice on the shelf, which is my all-ages solo journaling game that takes place in an infinite library. You take on the role of the titular apprentice and, together with your familiar, journey through the Great Library in search of documents requested by your Librarian. It's the result of wondering, "What if Kiki's Delivery Service took place in The Stygian Library?"
