I’ve been running Exeunt Press for a few years now, and one thing that never gets old is seeing my games in actual brick and mortar stores. Online sales are great of course, and I encourage you to check out the Exeunt Press Shop… but there’s just something special about games on the shelf of a friendly local game store.

☕ Muffin Meetup at Unity Java
Tony of Plus One Exp has graciously invited me to run a group game of You are a Muffin at the Unity Java coffee shop located on Umbria Street in Philadelphia.1
Muffin Meetup
Where: Unity Java, 5001 Umbria St, Philadelphia, PA 19128
When: Saturday, April 26, 12-3 pm
What: I’m hosting a group game of You are a Muffin. Printed copies of the game and dice will be available. It’s a solo game, but one that will be fun to play together! Become a pastry, watching customers come and go as you slowly become more stale… wondering if you will be eaten.
Starting at 3 pm, Gritty Games Days begins with other board games, TTRPGs, and tabletop games to enjoy at the coffee shop.

Skeleton Code Machine is an ENNIE-nominated weekly publication that explores tabletop game mechanisms. It’s been called a “Seemingly endless source of gaming ponderings” and a “Goldmine.” Check it out at www.skeletoncodemachine.com.

I will be hosting a new, free class at the Bosler Memorial Library in Carlisle, PA starting May 1. The class is based on the Make Your Own One-Page RPG guide from Skeleton Code Machine, taking participants from initial ideas to published games over the course of four sessions.
This is the second class I’m running as a way to support public libraries. Last year’s Introduction to Tabletop Game Design class even won an award for “Best Adult Program in Basic Literacy” from the Pennsylvania Library Association.
The total number of participants is limited, so register soon.2
