A few months ago, I received a curious email from an Exeunt Press customer:
This arrived today (loved the packaging, btw...wax seals are awesome). I seem to have received one where the book is upside down. Like, the cover opens to the back of the book, which is upside down. I'm not explaining this well. Lemme get a photo…
Attached was a photo of ADVENTURE! Make Your Own TTRPG Adventure being held with one hand — perfectly normal. In the next photo, however, it was clear that the pages were upside down with respect to the cover.
Or perhaps the cover was upside down with respect to the pages?
Either way, it was topsy-turvy upside down!
No problem. I shipped a properly printed copy to the customer with an apology, and all was well.
Until I went through all the remaining copies… and found about 20+ that were similarly misprinted.1

I’d rather send these ultra-rare, legendary-pull copies to good homes rather than recycle or otherwise dispose of them. They are perfectly readable and usable, but the cover and/or inside pages are upside down. The pages are bound on the wrong edge.
The result is sort of like a manga — you need to hold the book with the binding on the right (vs. left) to be able to page through!
If you’d prefer a properly printed copy that you can open and page through in the correct order, those are available. In fact a new print run just arrived!
But if you are OK with a copy bound on the wrong edge and upside down that you must flip through in reverse order… this is quite a deal!
ADVENTURE! misprints are available now while supplies last for $4.99 each. Printed download key for the PDF edition is included.2 Shipping and handling costs apply.

I’m not sure misprint is the correct word. Perhaps “misbound” would be a more accurate and correct term? But I’m not sure that’s actually a word. The pages appear to be printed properly, but they are bound into the cover incorrectly.
You will not be emailed a download code. Codes are printed on a slip of paper and included with your shipment. If you don’t immediately see it upon opening the package, check inside the front cover. The PDF is not upside down unless you want it to be. Any questions or issues, email games@exeunt.press.
