The “best four days in gaming” are coming up at Gen Con, running from July 31 through August 3, 2025. I’ve never actually attended Gen Con and unfortunately that is the case for this year as well. Perhaps next year!
The good news is that while I will not be there, the Exeunt Press games will be thanks to Indie Press Revolution! They will be stocking the following at Booth 449:
Caveat Emptor: You are an assistant demon given a last chance to run the curiosity shop and sell cursed items to unsuspecting customers.

The entire staff of Exeunt Press consists of one person and one 12+ year old dog.1 That means that when we take a bit of a holiday, there’s no one left to ship orders at the Exeunt Press Shop.
Exeunt Press will be on holiday August 2 through 12th. Orders will be accepted during this time but will not ship according to the usual Monday/Thursday schedule.
Orders will resume shipping when we return, starting August 13th!2

🎲 Recently played: Dune: War for Arrakis
I recently completed my third play of Dune: War for Arrakis and each time I like it a little bit more. It’s quite possibly moved into my Top 10 of all time.3 I’m a fan of the Dune theme, the dice-based action selection mechanism is good, and the two factions are both thematic and wonderfully asymmetric.
We added the Smugglers expansion this time, and I’m not sure it improved the game. I would tentatively agree with this review from BGG: “Harkonen just get more harvesters (yawn) and by the time the smugglers came out for the Atreides, the game was nearly over.” That’s how it played out for us as well. Still, it was a very fun time!
